The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon has 16 main Project locations around the world. It is a truly global team all working together to deliver the Project with excellence.
Perth Project Offices
The downstream team has two Project offices in Perth, the capital city of Western Australia. The Project is being led out of these offices and they house the Project senior management as well as a number of technical and support service teams.
Western Australian Supply Bases
The Project has two main supply bases in Western Australia. The Perth Supply Base, at Henderson to the south of Perth, and the Dampier Supply Base, approximately 1,300 kilometres north of Perth, are key logistical gateways to Barrow Island.
Barrow Island
Barrow Island is the home of the Gorgon Project and where the LNG plant is being constructed. It is located approximately 56 kilometres off the northwest coast of Western Australia and 87 nautical miles from the Dampier Supply Base.
Asian Fabrication Yards
Six fabrication yards in Asia are fabricating modules, racks, units and other structures for the LNG plant and associated facilities. These yards are based in Ulsan in South Korea, Qingdao in China, Batam, Bandar Lampung and Karimun in Indonesia and Lumut in Malaysia.
London and Asian Engineering Offices
The detailed engineering design for the Gorgon downstream facilities has been led out of London and there are currently two engineering offices in London, one in Singapore and two in Jakarta.
