Senior NDT/NDE Coordinator Level III (PRF2223)

The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.

The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.

The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.

The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon is a dynamic global team of around 2,500 people in 17 locations in seven countries. As we move further into the construction phase, we are looking for talented professionals to join our team.

a vacancy currently exists for a Senior NDT/NDE (Non-Destructive) Coordinator Level III to join the Project.

In order to be considered for this role, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:

  • Providing assistance and direction to other NDE Inspectors on site.
  • Liaising and providing support and guidance to all Site Contractors to ensure that NDE (Non Destructive Examination) is carried out in accordance Project Codes, Standards, Specifications and Procedures.
  • Attend site, fabrication yards, their subcontractors and vendor shops as and if required to carry out inspection of a sample of completed welds for verification purposes and documenting verification activities. Witness as required operator proficiency testing.
  • Promote safety awareness (Incident Injury Free) IIF and safe performance.
  • Audit/review of NDE documentation systems, certification and training records, ensuring that reports are accurate and fully traceable back to inspected items. Audits to be raised as required.
  • Develop and manage surveillance programs on Contractor’s for all NDE activities provide statistics in monthly report.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Pro-active approach to problem solving and trouble shooting. Ability to provide clear accurate, timely communication (written and Verbal) with line manger.
  • Previous experience working with AUT, ToFD and PAUT.
  • The successful candidate will be self motivated, possess good communication skills, have leadership and teamwork skills, be computer literate with high level of technical report writing
  • Certification to a minimum ISO 9712 and/or EN473 Level II in UT, RT, MT and PT. Certification to Level III would be an advantage
  • 10-15 years experience in oil and gas construction and fully conversant with NDE of process piping, pressure vessels and structural steel work
  • AICIP Pressure Equipment Inspector Certification

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working on LNG Projects.

This role will be site based at Barrow Island and offers a 20 day / 10 day rotation.
