Project Engineer Marine Logistics
The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC Corporation, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.
The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.

Vacancies currently exist for a Project Engineer Marine Logistics to join the Project.
In order to be considered for these roles, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:
Job Description:
- Project Engineer to prepare detailed studies for the marine transportation of equipment and materials from the mainland supply base to the BWI (island) facilities.
- The position is key to ensuring maximum efficiency is applied to vessel loadout in order to achieve seamless delivery of "free-issue" items to the site during the peak periods of construction for the Gorgon Project, including:
- Coordinate with the Logistics Group (Senior Project Managers and Supply Chain Management Team) for the timely preparation of medium to long term lookaheads driving bulk deliveries to meet the needs of the construction groups.
- Coordinate with estimating and engineering groups to indentify changes to current scope, analysing the potential challenges to the project execution.
- Coordinate with Project Controls to ensure the project planning reflects the logistical constraints.
- Prepare reports, strategy and project execution documents as necessary to ensure the proper progress of the Works.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree, qualified or equivalent in a Mechanical/Marine Engineering position.
- Minimum 5 years experience in the Management of Marine Logistics.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the coordination and execution of materials management in a project environment.
- Capable of preparing progress reports and strategy papers etc. for submission to Management.
- Ability to develop professional working relationships both within and outside of KJV.
- Experience and capability to handle, moderate, and manage resolution of serious technical issues.
- Tenacity and a self starter, able to work as part of a small team.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Post Graduate training in Project Management.
- Skilled in the preparation and interrogation of Project Schedules.
