Facilities Management Site Manager

The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.

The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC Corporation, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.

The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.

Vacancies currently exist for Facilities Management Site Manager to join the Project.

In order to be considered for these roles, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:

Job Description:

  • Support the Contractor with preparation of HAZID for the power scope (BPS, TPS, Distribution system). Participate in HAZID and review outcome of workshops. Ensure completion of Safeguard actions raised at the workshops,
  • Review Work Method Statements for operation and maintenance of power generation & distribution assets,
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements are met,
  • Focal point for Contractor TQs relating to power generation & distribution assets,
  • Monitor Contractor readiness for operation and maintenance of power generation & distribution assets,
  • Review ongoing spares and consumables/material management set up from the Contractor,
  • Assist the FM Contractor with operational readiness for power generation & distribution assets.
  • Liaising with other disciplines (Regulatory, HS, Environment, Quarantine, logistics, etc) to ensure compliance with Project Requirements
  • Management of the KJVG FM team on BWI
  • Day to day management of the FM contractor on BWI.
  • KJVG HSE responsibility on BWI for the FM contract
  • Responsible for the FM contract (services) day to day delivery on BWI.
  • Represent the KJVG FM contract interest on BWI.
  • Ensure FM Contractor priorities best support site objectives and priorities.
  • Ensure compliance by FM Contractor to work as defined in contract 78500018 Scope of Work and Specification, (includes all KJVG standards and statutory requirements)

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in electrical related work.
  • Experience with diesel engine driven generators type power station and high voltage distribution.
  • Evidence of close working relationships with Contractors to coordinate numerous short and long term milestones.
  • Experience with post award contractual relationships.
  • Experience and capability to manage resolution of serious technical issues.
  • Tenacity and a self starter, able to work as part of a small team of people.
  • Management skills.
  • Good understanding of the Permit to Work system
  • Experience with managing contractors in remote environment
  • Good knowledge of commissioning practices
  • Good understanding of requirements associated with operation and maintenance of assets such as water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, large diesel engine driven power generators and HV power distribution.
