Interface Coordinator – Contracts
The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC Corporation, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.
The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon is a dynamic global team of around 2,500 people in 17 locations in seven countries. As we move further into the construction phase, we are looking for talented professionals to join our team.
Vacancies currently exist for an Interface Coordinator - Contracts to join the Project.
In order to be considered for this role, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:
- Acts as the focal point for the coordination of interface activities and issues that impact their Functional Area (ie liaise and obtain all necessary approvals and agreements from the Functional Area Group members, as well as involvement / endorsement of all interested stakeholders).
- Manage the specific Functional Area interfaces and be responsible for facilitating resolution of interface issues with other Functional Areas. Facilitate interface meetings as appropriate.
- Escalate interface issues to management when required and facilitate resolution of escalated issues.
- Represent their Functional Area at the Interface Coordination Team meetings.
- Disseminate interface information within their Functional Area Team.
- Facilitate and obtain agreement for the Data and Need Dates for all interfaces within their Functional Area
- Facilitate identification of key interfaces for inclusion in the project level 2 or 3 Schedules.
- Review and update Need Dates, status, deliverables / tasks and close out for interfaces (using KIMS and other interface registers) as appropriate.
- Provide input to Interface Monthly Reports by Interface Manager.
- Custodian for the development and approval of assigned Block Flow Diagrams, responsibility matrices and Interface Data Sheets associated with their Functional Area.
- Identify Changes and Risks, assist in the development of Trends, and Risks
- Organise training for users of the Interface Management process and systems. Support users in understanding and using the tools (e.g. KIMS).
- Capture lessons learned for Interface Management and propose / facilitate improvements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications and a minimum of five years experience on Major Projects or related experience.
- Anticipate and identify problems, obstacles and opportunities and take decisive action to address them.
- Highly developed verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work without supervision, manage own time and set priorities to ensure objectives are achieved
