Construction Supervisor – E&I Marshalling Yard
The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC Corporation, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.
The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.

Vacancies currently exist for Construction Supervisor – E&I Marshalling Yard to join the Project.
In order to be considered for this role, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:
- Be part of a team working with the MEI&C Contractor’s Supervision based on Barrow Island or in the Fabrication Yard in Henderson
- Provide leadership support for safety and accident prevention.
- Implement safety procedures, subcontractor safety meetings and site inspections
- Monitor performance and productivity for all E&I installation work performed by the MEI&C contractor and ensure adequate levels of Supervision.
- Produce weekly reports and raise any concerns to the E&I Superintendant
- Ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule and to quality standards.
- Work as an interface between the MEI&C Contractor supervision and the E&I Superintendent to ensure a one team approach and harmonious working environment.
- Monitor project schedules, staffing charts, material availability and equipment requirements.
- Monitor project plans and specifications for constructability, conformance to regulatory agency requirements and productivity improvement.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to staff involved in the development and application of innovative and unique construction theories and methodologies required by multiple and/or complex projects.
- Review work packs, handover / punch lists, carryover works, shipped loose items and disconnects proposed from the module yards. Review the work-scope documentation received from the fabrication yards
- Participate in QA/QC Inspections as required and ensure compliance to all relevant standards
- Work with other disciplines and provide input into SIMOPs coordination (Simultaneousoperations)
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Electrical or Instrument Engineering Diploma or similar post trade technical qualifications
- Formal training in the installation of Electrical and Instrumentation in hazardous areas
- Competent person in accordance with AS4761 to work with electrical equipment for hazardous areas and good working knowledge and experience of AS4761 and AS2381
- Suitable experienced and conversant with Industry codes and standards such as EN50020, IEC60079, IEC60331, IEC 60364, IEC 61511-2, IP, Norsok S-002, API RP 14C,521, BFPA/P9
- Demonstrate record of strong commitment to safety.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of implementation of Electrical/Instrument Safety Lock Out and have experience in E&I installation on large projects
- Minimum 10 years Experience in a similarrole within the Construction industry, specifically for construction of LNG plants.
- Demonstrate ability to work with multidiscipline field supervision and contractors; accountable for the successful implementation of the project's construction philosophy and completionsprogramme.
- Good understanding of and ability to read Engineering drawings, layout drawings, wiring drawings and P&ID’s
- Strong track record for delivering project requirements on time with zero safety incidents and accidents.
