The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC Corporation, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.
The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon is a dynamic global team of around 2,500 people in 17 locations in seven countries. As we move further into the construction phase, we are looking for talented professionals to join our team.

In order to be considered for these roles, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:
The Project is currently looking for an experienced Project Lawyer to join the established and collegiate in-house legal team. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, articulate and dynamic, takes pride in their work and is able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others. This role focuses primarily on major Project infrastructure, construction logistics and marine/shipping contracts, working to provide legally sound solutions in a commercial environment.
Responsibilities include a range of work, focusing on post-award and contentious work including:
- advising on contractual issues and providing support on claims and disputed matters
- providing practical legal support to Project Teams on a wide variety legal of issues
- keeping the Project aware of relevant legal issues and developing and presenting awareness sessions as required
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws with a minimum of 7 years post admission experience
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience in construction law and projects
- Contentious experience
- Strong legal and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, relationship building and negotiation skills
- Strong drafting skills
- Solid academics with a proven ability to work at a consistently high quality.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Australian-qualified
- Broad skill base, ideally with some experience and familiarity with logistics and marine/shipping law.
- Experience of lump sum EPC and reimbursable PMC contracts.
