Deputy Site Manager Quality
The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC Corporation, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.
The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon is a dynamic global team of around 2,500 people in 17 locations in seven countries. As we move further into the construction phase, we are looking for talented professionals to join our team.
Vacancies currently exist for a Deputy Site Manager Quality to join the Project.
In order to be considered for these roles, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:
- Deputising for the site Quality manager when required.
- Support and contribute to the Incident Injury Free (IIF) philosophy and program.
- Monitoring project site work by review, audit and observation for compliance to the Project Execution Plan, Engineering and construction management plans, Project Quality Plan and Quality Management System procedures.
- Providing monthly reports against the Quality KPI’s to site leadership team and Global Quality Manager.
- Monitoring and trending Non-Conformances, Concession Requests and corrective actions.
- Work with contractors by following up on Audit corrective actions to ensure satisfactory close out.
- Prepare and present onsite Quality compliance and education workshops with contractors and Company personnel.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years experience in Quality Management on large construction Projects.
- Lead Auditor, certified to ISO 9001:2008.
- Academic Qualifications in Welding or Mechanical discipline, plus Quality Management training to ISO 9001.
- Good understanding of QA/QC requirements for final documentation on oil & gas related construction projects.
- Sound knowledge of Australian, API & ASME standards plus NATA quality system requirements.
This role will be based at Barrow Island and offers a 20 day / 10 day rotation.
