Project Accountant
The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC Corporation, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.
The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon is a dynamic global team of around 2,500 people in 17 locations in seven countries. As we move further into the construction phase, we are looking for talented professionals to join our team.
Vacancies currently exist for a Project Accountant to join the Project.
In order to be considered for these roles, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:
KJVG seeks a Project Accountant to work within the Gorgon Shared Services Team, supporting Senior Project Accountant with the project billing activities, including responding to client inquiries, validating service charges in accordance with the agreed cost allocation principles.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- A degree in Accounting or Business with minimum 2 years experience preferably in Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction industry.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (excel, word, excess database, power point) skills
- Basic Knowledge of standard contract terms, service and procurement agreements are desirable.
- Understanding of and a positive and pro-active commitment to HSE through the personal application of IIF (Injury and Incident Free)
- Attention to detail, strong communication skills and financial acumen
