Project Engineer
The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC Corporation, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.
The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon is a dynamic global team of around 2,500 people in 17 locations in seven countries. As we move further into the construction phase, we are looking for talented professionals to join our team.
Vacancies currently exist for a Project Engineer to join the Project.
In order to be considered for these roles, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:
- Technical assistant to the Deputy Project Director
- Main areas of scope will cover Engineering & Procurement, Schedule, Logistics and general Project Management (not necessarily in that order)
- Data and information analysis and interpretation to enable strategic and tactical decisions to be made. Encumbant will be expected to provide their suggested solutions to issues.
- Performance trending and status reporting using Excel (and/or other tools).
- Provide interpretation of the results and suggested solutions/decisions
- Expediting information and decisions from all departments within KJVG and Client
- Attend Director level Leadership meetings for note taking and action follow-up
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Engineering degree education
- Minimum 5 years oil and gas engineering contractor experience. Need to understand the basic orgisational processes and structure of delivering and EPC project.
- Very competent in Microsoft Office programmes - eg Excel, Powerpoint, etc
- Clear communicator (written & verbal)
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Some site experience would be desirable, but not essential
