The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.

The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC Corporation, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.

The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.

The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon is a dynamic global team of around 2,500 people in 17 locations in seven countries. As we move further into the construction phase, we are looking for talented professionals to join our team.

Vacancies currently exist for Contracts Administrators to join the Project.

In order to be considered for these roles, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:

  • Provide Contract Administration – responsible for the administration of Implementation Contracts
  • Professionally qualified in Quantity Surveying or Engineering or Degree level qualified in a related field
  • Formal contract administration experience in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Experienced in construction claims administration, evaluation or management
  • Good communicator and a team player, as the contracts role requires facilitation between different business functions. This is made more complex still by the Gorgon project’s activities being spread across several locations (Perth, London, Module yards, Barrow Island, Henderson, Dampier etc)
  • Attention to detail
  • Commercial acumen in being able to obtain the best pricing possible for the company
  • Ready to adopt a flexible work approach, Self motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Demonstrated abilities to analyse projects, identify options and recommend solutions to deviations / problems
  • Articulate and ability to prepare and present both internally and externally. Fluent language skills in English, sufficient to communicate effectively with the project team and contractors under pressure of time (verbal and written)
  • Produce reports on weekly and monthly basis on the status of Contractor claims and Change Orders
  • Evaluate commercial effects of any instructions issued by Company to the Contractor.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Multi-disciplined background
  • Self-starter, capable of using initiative and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Able and willing to be trained in the use of computerised, web-based Contract and Document Management systems.
