Superintendent Concrete Batch Plant
The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC Corporation, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.
The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.
The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon is a dynamic global team of around 2,500 people in 17 locations in seven countries. As we move further into the construction phase, we are looking for talented professionals to join our team.
Vacancies currently exist for a Superintendent Concrete Batch Plant to join the Project.
In order to be considered for this role, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:
Job Description:
- Overseeing implementation of concrete supply on Barrow Island, including installation & operation of batching plants, production, delivery & placement of concrete, material management & compliance with Project regulations, specifications & standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Supervision of all field erection & installation of concrete batching plants & associated facilities including safety, quality, labour relations and productivity, manpower planning, construction equipment planning and usage, coordination of the work of the various crafts, waste management, and adherence to work plans and schedule.
- Supervision of Concrete Supply contractor with regards to health, safety, environmental, quarantine & quality documentation and management plans.
- Supervision of Concrete Supply contractor to ensure all concrete supply requirements are satisfied with respect to quality & schedule.
- Daily liaisons with both Concrete Supply & Placement contractors to ensure schedule requirements are satisfied.
- Supervision of Concrete Supply contractor to ensure all constituents are stored & ordered such that concrete supply will not be impeded by any logistical constraints.
- Coordination with BWI crushed & screened product supply to ensure concrete aggregates satisfy quality & schedule requirements.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in the installation, commissioning & operation of large concrete batch plants.
- Extensive hands-on experience in the batching, delivery & placement of concrete on major projects.
This role will be based at Barrow Island and offers a 20 day / 10 day rotation.
