Commissioning Superintendent (PRF1576)

The Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, currently under construction, is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and Australia's largest single resource project.

The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon, an unincorporated joint venture between KBR, JGC Corporation, Hatch and Clough, is the Gorgon Project's downstream engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.

The downstream scope of work for the Project includes the construction of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing trains, LNG storage and load-out facilities including a jetty, utilities, a materials offloading facility, a domestic gas processing plant and a construction village.

The Kellogg Joint Venture Gorgon is a dynamic global team of around 2,500 people in 17 locations in seven countries. As we move further into the construction phase, we are looking for talented professionals to join our team.

Vacancies currently exist for a Commissioning Superintendent to join the Project.

In order to be considered for this role, we are looking for the following skills and expertise:

  • The Commissioning Superintendent will lead a Commissioning team on Barrow Island throughout the infrastructure commissioning phase and during LNG plant commissioning. The scope of work will include commissioning of the construction village, utilities, diesel storage and transfer and eventually the LNG equipment.
  • Key Interfaces Include: Commissioning Manager, Commissioning Supervisors and Engineers, Quality Control Engineer, TOSTR Coordinator, Assistant Technical Services Managers, Facilities Management team, Construction teams

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Western Australian Class A Electrical License
  • HV Switching
  • Minimum 10 years experience in LNG plant and utilities commissioning and operation/maintenance.
  • Minimum 5 years in similar E/I Superintendent or commissioning management position within the oil and gas industry

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with completions process including the tracking software/processes such as TOSTR, WIN PCS or PIMS, Zenator
  • Intermediate level computing skills – Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, Power point

This is a site based position on Barrow Island offering a 20 day / 10 day rotation.
